YAMUNA EXPRESSWAY INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
YAMUNA EXPRESSWAY INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY earlier also known as TAJ EXPRESSWAY is constituted by Government of Uttar Pradesh for Industrial and Urban Development in the region. The idea is based not only to provide fast moving corridor to reduce the travelling time between New Delhi & Agra but also to provide proper environment and resources in the region to ensure the development of Tourism Industry, Entertainment & Leisure and Knowledge based Industry.UP Government has enacted the UP Industrial Development Act, 1976 to ensure planned development of industrial and allied activities in the state. NOIDA, Greater NOIDA (GNOIDA) and Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) have been created under this Act for the systematic development of their respective notified areas abutting Delhi, which if not planned, would have been prone to unauthorized urban growth.
HIGHLIGHTS
The objective of YEIDA is to secure the planned development of the industrial development area. To achieve this objective, YEIDA will optimize on the present potential, enhance investment climate and promote the economic development of the area through creation of a sustainable environment, supported by world-class infrastructure. The main functions of the Authority include –
- Acquisition of land for construction of Expressway and area development;
- Execution of Yamuna Expressway project;
- Preparation of Master plan for planned development of the industrial development area;
- YAMUNA AUTHORITY PLOTS are located in sector 18 & 20 and both the sectors are situated on the 165 Kms. Yamuna Expressway.
- 6 Lane expressway (extendable upto 8 lane) in future.
- The Yamuna Expressway cuts half the travel time from New Delhi to Agra.
- Yamuna Authority Plots are available only in two sectors 18 & 20.
- Authority shall provide Green Parks, Green Belt on both side of Sector roads, Community centres, shopping complex etc. in the region.
